Position Overview:
The Membership Engagement and Events position is responsible for bringing new members to the organization as well as implementing quality programming and revenue generating events.  Our members are our #1 priority, and we strive to provide events that cultivate business opportunities, networking, professional development and community engagement.
 
 
Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with new members and prospects.
  • Implement Chamber events including ribbon cuttings, bi-monthly networking coffees, quarterly happy hours.
  • Support monthly board meetings, quarterly ambassador meetings, committee meetings, candidate forums, educational events and new teacher luncheon.
  • Develop and manage budget, timeline, event admissions, sponsorship, vendors and logistics for signature and partner events including Annual Meeting, Trivia, State of the City, Golf Tournament, WIB Breakfast.
  • Execute Leadership Gardner Program, including recruitment of participants, agenda, and session logistics.
  • Work collaboratively with the team on invoicing, content for marketing and event reporting.
  • Answer phones and walk in questions.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a professional environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, power point) and ability to navigate membership management software
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and identify priorities
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in public speaking
  • Experience in vendor negotiations and volunteer management
  • Must have valid driver’s license and transportation (mileage reimbursement)
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 Lbs.
  • Nonprofit, association or membership organization experience preferred

Salary:
Salary range is $20-24 per hour based on experience and qualifications.  May occasionally be required to work special events which fall on evenings and weekends. Accruable PTO.
