Part-time, Hourly, 25 hours per week
Position Overview:
The Membership Engagement and Events position is responsible for bringing new members to the organization as well as implementing quality programming and revenue generating events. Our members are our #1 priority, and we strive to provide events that cultivate business opportunities, networking, professional development and community engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with new members and prospects.
- Implement Chamber events including ribbon cuttings, bi-monthly networking coffees, quarterly happy hours.
- Support monthly board meetings, quarterly ambassador meetings, committee meetings, candidate forums, educational events and new teacher luncheon.
- Develop and manage budget, timeline, event admissions, sponsorship, vendors and logistics for signature and partner events including Annual Meeting, Trivia, State of the City, Golf Tournament, WIB Breakfast.
- Execute Leadership Gardner Program, including recruitment of participants, agenda, and session logistics.
- Work collaboratively with the team on invoicing, content for marketing and event reporting.
- Answer phones and walk in questions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years’ experience in a professional environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, power point) and ability to navigate membership management software
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and identify priorities
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in public speaking
- Experience in vendor negotiations and volunteer management
- Must have valid driver’s license and transportation (mileage reimbursement)
- Must be able to lift or move up to 25 Lbs.
- Nonprofit, association or membership organization experience preferred

Salary:
Salary range is $20-24 per hour based on experience and qualifications. May occasionally be required to work special events which fall on evenings and weekends. Accruable PTO.
