JOB TITLE: Bulk Picking Associate
LOCATION: Gardner, Kansas
SHIFT: First/Day shift
REPORTS TO: Shipping Supervisor
SUMMARY: The Bulk Order Selector pulls bulk and full case products according to each order’s specifications and moves items to shipping area to be correctly labeled for outgoing shipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Study work orders to determine what items are to be picked • Drive forklift to the location identified by the voice picking system and locate item intended for picking • Maintain knowledge of product codes and the aisles and storage areas where they are located • Inquire into available quantity of item intended to be picked • Assist with freight consolidation when needed • Pull bulk items on pallet using forklift and safely maneuver pallet to shipping area • Update all applicable inventory information into warehouse database using RF scan device • Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety rules and ensuring that proper equipment checks are completed at the beginning and end of each shift • Report any equipment or machinery issues to maintenance/department lead • Understand and perform any proper shift turnover processes

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Experience picking items in a warehouse environment. 1 year of experience as a site certified forklift operator. The employee will be on their feet and walking their entire shift with the exception of any time required to operate forklift equipment which could require sitting or standing. • Specific vision and hearing abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to focus with eyes, ability to hear and comprehend instructions given from headset worn daily. • Position requires the employee to be able to lift, and/or push objects ranging up to 60 pounds on a very frequent basis.
