JOB TITLE: Picking Associate
LOCATION: Gardner, Kansas
SHIFT: First/Day shift
REPORTS TO: Pick Module Supervisor
SUMMARY: Use voice pick device and headset to locate, pull, and check all items for shipment; properly pack orders into boxes for shipping and ensure orders are labeled accurately.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Study work orders to determine the what items are to be picked • Maintain voice pick device and headset to ensure it is in good working order before and after use • Speak order to be picked into the voice pick system then listen for instructions • Walk to the location identified by the voice picking system and locate item intended for picking • Maintain knowledge of product codes and the aisles and storage areas where they are located • Inquire into available quantity of item intended to be picked • Pull order physically then take it to the packing area using designated cart, trolley or pallet jack in safe manner • Pack and label all items according to instruction provided • Update all applicable inventory information into warehouse database • Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety rules and ensuring that proper cleaning activities are completed • Understand and perform any proper shift turnover processes • Check before, during and after shift so that adequate supplies are stocked at all times
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE: Experience picking items in a warehouse environment is preferred. Experience with voice pick is a plus. Revised 5/10/2018

The employee is walking or standing for their entire shift in a very fast paced environment. • Specific vision and hearing abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to focus with eyes, ability to hear and comprehend instructions given from headset worn daily. • Position requires the employee to be able to lift, and/or push objects ranging up to 60 pounds on a very frequent basis. • Must be able to adhere to all company safety standards.
