JOB TITLE: Shipping Associate
LOCATION: Gardner, Kansas
SHIFT: First/Day shift
REPORTS TO: Shipping Supervisor
SUMMARY: Responsible for loading all outgoing packages into shipping containers while utilizing all available container space and adhering to all safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Move packages from conveyor into shipping containers • Use proper body mechanics while lifting packages • Arrange packages by size and weight on pallets • Ensure all packages are labeled and identify and oddities that need special attention before loading • Load pallets on UPS trailer or USPS truck • Maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning at all times • Maintain cleanliness in shipping area as necessary • Communicate issues or inquiries with maintenance • Understand and perform any proper shift turnover processes

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Previous experience loading trailers is a plus.
